A Love Letter to Julia Coral
The moment I tore open the colorful mailing envelope that contained this coral Julia dress from LuLaRue Consultant Dina Shingleton I was enamored. I immediately paired her with my gold Stella & Dot Rebel pendant and gold Sergio Rossi flat sandals to grab dinner with my family in Arlington.
Later, I filmed a #kill22pushup challenge video wearing Julia in my driveway.
The very next evening I wore Julia again for cocktails at the Four Seasons in Georgetown with my girlfriend (and Up, Close & Personal Style star) Ada - this time with a black and pale grey heart print scarf and black caged sandals.
You get my drift? I LOVE THIS FREAKIN' DRESS.
Let Me Count The Ways
- COLOR: Her orange + red = poppy / coral hue is my Fall 2016 signature accent
- DETAILS: Her elbow length sleeves are super flattering
- VERSATILITY: Julia's simple shape begs for layering and her clean lines can be dressed up for office or down for shopping with an easy shoe and jewelry swap
- SURPRISINGLY MODERN: At first I thought her hem was a bit long but after multiple wears (and a photoshoot) I think that the extra length makes her look fresh
- WOMAN OF MYSTERY: No one (and I mean NO ONE) recognized Julia Coral as LuLaRoe Julia
The Way We Wore
With minimal accessories and no layers, Julia Coral looks amazing all by herself in an outfit perfect for date night. Metallic accents (via my Hermes Cuff; gold strappy DVF sandals and gold hammered hoop earrings) add just enough drama to spice up the conversation.
For a "Day at the Races" look, I accessorized Julia Coral with an armful of silver and rhinestone bracelets and a mega blingy statement necklace because that's just how we roll. A GAP denim shirt dress tied at the waist and Loeffler Randall olive leather knee boots ground the magpie accessory collection and say: "We might like to sparkle but we aren't not afraid of mud."
Julia Coral is wild. She loved it when I threw a cheetah print Cassie skirt around her neck like a scarf. Her orange fabric paired with my army green Joie anorak and Loeffler Randall olive leather knee boots really got her heart pumping but the metallic crackle YSL Muse bag and Hermes Collier de Chien cuff reminded everyone at the table we are at brunch, not on safari.
Julia Coral isn't your average dress. When you wear her under an Azure skirt, for example, she's also a top. The French classic vibe is cemented with an expert print accent mix featuring an Hermes silk twill scarf as belt, Louise Vuitton pouch as clutch and ready to purr cheetah wedges.
I hope you enjoyed this ode to Julia Coral. Stay tuned for more LuLaRoe outfits!
